PALM HARBOR – It was formed from humble beginnings in 1979 with a $1,000 donation, an old car and the namesake of professional PGA golfer Juan “Chi Chi” Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, along with co-founders Bill Hayes, a teacher and detention officer, and Bob James, founder of Raymond James Financial, embarked on the journey of building something they envisioned as a positive contribution to the community.
